Home Made Pizza

Pizza Dough
8oz Self Raising Flour
2oz Butter
1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs

Sprinkle of Pepper and Salt
3 Tbsp Milk

Pizza Topping
1 Red onion
A packet of Bacon
1 Red Pepper
3 Mushrooms
Tin of Chopped Tomatoes
1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs
4oz Cheddar (Grated)

Pre Heat Oven to 180 Fan / Gas Mark 5

1. Firstly prepare the pizza dough by putting the dry ingredients into the bowl and mixing together to form breadcrumbs
2. Add the milk and using your hands bring the mixture to a dough
3. If the dough is too wet then add some more flour
4. Once the dough is ready wrap it in some clinig film and pop into the fridge while you make the topping

5. To make the topping, put some oil in a drying pan and heat up gently
6. Chop and slice the onion and pepper and put into the frying pan and fry gently for 5 minutes
7. Cut the fat off the bacon and cut into pieces and with the chopped mushrooms add to the frying pan
8. Fry gently for approx 5-8 minutes
9. Once all rhe ingredients have been cooked gently, add the chopped tomatoes and herbs and mix in and bring to a gentle simmer for approx 5-8 minutes until most but not all of the juice has simmered away
10. While this is simmering, remove the dough from the fridge and roll out
11. Put some flour on a smooth surface and on a rolling pin and roll the dough out to the same size of the pizza pan, be careful not to go to thin, otherwise it will be hold to transfer onto the pan
12. Once the dough is on the pan and the topping is cooked, add the topping to the base and smooth out across the dough
13. Add the grated cheese and then pop into the oven for approx 18 minutes until golden and hot
14. Remove and then cut into slice and serve with a fresh green salad!

N.B. We put the dough in the fridge to chill as this makes it easier to roll out
N.B. You can add any topping to the pizza, but this is always a winner
